The gel infusion in the mattress helps to regulate temperature, ensuring a cool and comfortable sleep surface. The addition of charcoal helps to absorb odors and moisture, promoting a clean and hygienic sleeping environment. Active XTM is temperature and pressure sensitive which provides an optimum balance of immersion and envelopment creating a sleep surface with excellent support, comfort and very high level of pressure care. - Envelopment Score: 4/5. To launder the cover in a washing machine, set the main wash to a minimum of 65 C for no less than 10 minutes. The cover can be tumble dried on low heat and the temperature must not exceed 60 C. The foam can be autoclaved at 134 C.
